MY SERVICES · PSYCHOTHERAPY

Understand. Reconnect. Find your balance.

PSYCHOTHERAPY

What might bring you here.

Anxiety, mental fatigue, a sense of unease or a period of change can feel difficult to carry. Psychotherapy offers time to explore what you are experiencing, ask your questions and focus on what matters to you.

Emotions that feel difficult

Worry, sadness, anger or confusion may be making everyday life harder. We can take time to understand these feelings together and explore what might help.

Patterns that keep coming back

Some thoughts, habits or relationship difficulties may feel familiar, even when you wish things could be different. We can explore these patterns and approaches that fit your everyday life. This can also include the experience of neurodivergence, where relevant.

Stress or a life transition

A change, loss or difficult experience may have unsettled your sense of direction. You are looking for time to understand what you are going through and consider what comes next.

A PLACE TO TALK

Settle in. Take your time.

The office offers a warm, welcoming setting to talk about what you are going through, at your own pace. Our conversation is where the work together begins.

Sessions are also available online across the province, in French and English.

Theoretical orientation

My approach to psychotherapy

We begin by understanding what brings you here and what matters most to you. From there, we develop a compassionate, practical way of working that fits your situation and your pace.

I take an integrative approach, drawing on the four therapeutic orientations below. Together, we consider what fits your needs, your situation and your pace; these approaches are not a fixed sequence to follow.

Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT)

Explore how thoughts, emotions and behaviour connect, and consider patterns that may be contributing to a difficulty.

Acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT)

Build a more flexible relationship with difficult thoughts and feelings, while choosing actions guided by what matters to you.

Schema therapy

Explore familiar patterns in how you think, feel and relate to others, with attention to the needs connected with them.

Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT)

Clarify what you would like to change, and identify your resources, past successes and small steps that could support that direction.

WORKING TOGETHER

What we can explore.

Depending on your situation, we choose together which questions to explore more deeply and what you might try in everyday life.

Explore your emotions and thoughts

As we explore what you feel and the thoughts alongside it, we can begin to make sense of your experience together.

Understand responses and relationships

We explore patterns in your responses and relationships with curiosity, considering the situations around them and other possibilities that may feel more helpful.

Find your way through unsettling times

During stress, loss or upheaval, we take time to understand what has changed, what you need and which resources are available to you.

Find ways through difficult emotions

We may focus on recognizing and living with anxiety, anger or sadness, and exploring tools that fit your daily life.

Act in line with your values

By clarifying your needs and what matters to you, we can consider practical actions and how they fit into your life.
